Ceremonies

rituals to guide & connect

Ceremonies, or in Sanskrit also called yadnya, have the ability to empower an individual or create deep connection within a group. Time and again, I have witnessed to profound transformations within purposeful and intentional gatherings.

In the Balinese and Vedic traditions, 16 rites of passage guide individuals through life’s transitions, equipping them for what lies ahead while bestowing blessings. Similar ways can be observed in other ancient traditions.

From a very young age I have immersed myself in rituals, captivated by the ancient Balinese rites that I have witnessed, observed, and learned from since childhood. This calling has evolved naturally into conducting ceremonies for others.
On this path, my life’s knowledge and my passions merge seamlessy.

The ceremonies I conduct or am a part of are imbued with strong intentions & the wish that it nurtures all those in need. Music medicine, sacred water, and plants are my powerful allies in rituals.

“Ritual affirms the common patterns, the values, the shared joys, risks, sorrows, and changes that bind a community together. Ritual links together our ancestors and descendants, those who went before with those will come after us.”

Types of Ceremonies

Openings or Closing Ceremonies

These type of ceremonies are ideal for setting intentions together when starting a new container, or closing one. A powerful way to call in guides and envision a smooth journey ahead, or to give thanks for all the experiences and teachings.

Sacred Plant Ceremonies

Medicine plants, such as Cacao, Blue Lotus, Teas, and more, emerge as potent companions within specialized contexts. In ceremonies, they serve as a bridge connecting individuals with the wisdom, energies, and healing properties embedded within these plants.

Many ancient cultures have long known traditions with these natural allies knowing of the innate properties that can facilitate spiritual and emotional journeys. Cacao for instance has been revered as a healing plant for centuries in Native American cultures.

Manusia Yadnya

Manusia is the Sanskrit word for human. These are rites of passages that signify a transformation in the life of a human being.

Rites offered are the “Maiden to Mother”, also called Baby Blessing Ceremony, Birthday ceremonies, or Wedding celebrations.

Testimonials

kind words

“Everything Purnama does, she does with complete reverence. Her love of Balinese culture and commitment to ceremony is a true inspiration. I remember the first time I was mesmerised. Purnama makes the intricate details of these ceremonies accessible to all and recently held a incredibly potent online New Moon ceremony for my womens group in Australia. I’m truly grateful to know Purnama and admire her grace, humility as well her dedication to bring prayer to the world.”

“Rituals motivate and move us. Through ritual we build families and community, we make transitions and mark important events in our lives, we express ourselves in joy and sorrow, and perhaps, most importantly, we create and sustain identity.”
